Biography: Son of Donald MacLeod; born Ness, 20 February 1888. Arts, 1911 -14. Joined Ross-shire Mountain Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery, 1908; 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1911. Mobilized, 4 August 1914. Commissioned, 10 Oct 1914. Served with, 3rd Lane. Fusiliers, West African Regiment, 1st Manchester Regiment Home, 1914-15; West Africa, May 1915-April 1918; Egypt, Palestine, April 1918-May 1919. Final rank, Captain. Mentioned in despatches, March 1918. Died, 18 June 1920.
