Biography: Son of A. Marshall MacKenzie; born Aberdeen, 6 August 1877. M.A., 1898; B.L., 1901. Commissioned, 1st Volunteer Battalion Gordon Highlanders, 1898; transferred 3rd Volunteer Battalion Seaforth Highlanders (later 6th). Mobilized, August 1914. Home service, 1914-16. Final rank, Captain, (T.F.).
