Commissioned, 1st Northamptonshire Rifle Volunteers, 1892. Mobilized Lieutenant-Colonel, 3rd Western Province Rifles, August 1914. Served-1st Composite Regiment., South Africa, 1917. Final rank, Lieutenant-Colonel.
