Strover, Henry William Martyn

Biography: Son of Henry Strover; born Thayet-myo, Burmah, 18 March 1876. M.B., 1900. Private, 1st Somerset (Vol.) Light Infantry, 1892. Private, Volunteer Medical Staff Corps (Aberdeen), 1895-99. Commissioned, 4th Durham Royal Garrison Artillery, 1901. Mobilized, August 1914. Transferred R.A.M.C, 1915. Served-Medical Officers in Command of troops, M.O., Voluntary Aid Detachment Hospital, West Hartlepool, 1914-15, 1917-19; France, 1916. Final rank, Lieutenant. Mentioned in despatches, April 1919.
