Biography: Son of George Stephen; born Fraserburgh, 24 June 1891. M.B., 1915. A.U.O.T.C. Surgeon-Lieutenant, Royal Navy, 17 December 1915. Served-Home waters, Mesopotamia, Persian Gulf, Red Sea, 1915-18. Final rank, Surgeon-Lieutenant. Mentioned in despatches, 4 October 1918.
