Biography: Son of Alexander Simpson; born Aberdeen, 27 April 1864. M.A.,1884; Advocate in Aberdeen, 1890. Private, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 1885; retired Captain,1898. Captain (Administrative. Officer), R.A.M.C. and Army Service Corps Depôts. Home service, 1915-18. Final rank, Captain. Long Service Medal. Died, 31 July 1918.
