Biography: Son of Alexander Simpson; born Aberdeen, 25 November 1861. M.A., 1882; M.B., 1886; M.D., 1892. Commissioned, R.A.M.C., May 1915. Home service, Administrator, Lord Derby War Hospital, Warrington. Final rank, Lieutenant-Colonel. Companion of the British Empire (Military Division), June 1919.
