Biography: Son of Richard E. Sheppard; born Plaistow, 20 May 1873. M.B. 1900. Lieutenant, R.A.M.C, 15 May 1915; attached to 54th Casualty Clearing Station Served-Home, Malta, Gallipoli, Egypt, Palestine. Final rank, Captain. Mentioned in despatches, July 1917.
