Biography: Son of George Lyon; born Boyndie, Banffshire, 12 October 1869. M.B., 1891. Commissioned, 6th Volunteer Battalion Gordon Highlanders; Captain, New Zealand Medical Corps, 1909. War work-Senior Medical Officer for examination of soldiers, New Zealand, 9 months.
