Biography: Son of Robert Laws ; born Aberdeen, 28 May 1851. M.A., 1872; M.B., 1875; M.D., 1877; D.D., 1891. War work-As Principal, Overtoun Institution, organised-telegraphic communication, food for the troops, transport supplies for Royal Engineers, wireless and electrical department, military hospitals, provided interpreters, Livingstonia, Nyasaland, N. Rhodesia, German East Africa, 1914-19.
