Biography: Son of James Duthie; born Aberdeen, 18 May 1872. M.A., 1893; B.L., 1895. Joined Aberdeen R.A.M.C. (Volunteers), 1906. Honorary Lieutenant, R.A.M.C. (Territorial), 2nd Highland Field Ambulance, August 1914. Home service, 1914-17. Assistant Commissioner, Ministry of Food, Edinburgh, 1918-20. O.B.E., 1920.
