Biography: Son of Archibald Duff; born 10 January 1866. Arts, 1881-85; Law, 1885-87. Voluntary Recruiting, 1914-15. Commissioned, 5th Gordon Highlanders (Territorial Force), 27 August 1915. Attached 17th Yorks Regiment, Somerset Light Infantry, Highland Brigade. Labour Detachment, 52nd T.D.S.R.A.F. Served- Home, 1915-16, 1917-19; France, 1916-17. Final rank, Captain.
