Biography: Son of John Donald; born Aberdeen, 14 February 1896. Medicine, 1913-14, 1919-. Private, U Company, Gordon Highlanders (Territorial Force), 1913. Commissioned, 5th Gordon Highlanders, October 1915. Seconded to Royal Flying Corps, June 1917. Served-France, 13 months; Home, 3 years. Final rank, Lieutenant, and Acting Flight-Commander. Services brought to notice of Secretary of State for Air, January 1919.
