Biography: Son of John Ross; born Glenbuchat, 21 December 1889. M.A., 1910. Private, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 15 March 1915. Commissioned, 4th Highland Mountain Artillery Brigade, 23 November 1915. Served-Home, 1915-16; India, Mesopotamia, Kurdistan, June 1916-January 1920. Final rank, Acting Captain.
