Biography: Son of Robert S. Reid; born Port of Spain, British West Indies, 15 September 1892. Science, 1913-14. Private, Inns of Court Officer Training Corps, 8 November 1915. Commissioned, 4th Highland Light Infantry (S.R.), 18 October 1916. Served-Home, 1915-16, 1917-18; France, December 1916-July 1917, January-April 1918. Wounded; Prisoner of War, April-December 1918. Final rank, Lieutenant.
