Biography: Son of John Rae; born Dyce, 21 May 1888. M.A., 1910; B.D., 1914. War work-Y.M.C.A;, Hut Leader, France, 1917. Commissioned, Royal Army Chaplains' Department, 8 April 1918; attached 3rd Kings Own Scottish Borderers, 10th Black Watch, 14th Highland Light Infantry, 51st, 47th, Casualty Clearing Station, etc. Served-U.K., France, Belgium, 1 year 4 months. Final rank, Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class.
