Biography: Son of Joseph Knox; born Aberdeen, 28 December 1884. M.A. (II. Eng.), 1907. Private, 4th Gordon Highlanders, April 1917. Served with 8/10th, 3rd, Gordon Highlanders. Home, 1917 ; France, August 1917-March 1918 ; Prisoner of War, March 1918-January 1919 ; U.K. 1919. Final rank, Corporal.
