Biography: Son of William Kelly; born Aberdeen, 12 January 1897. Science, 1919-. Private, 4th Gordon Highlanders, 29 April 1913. Mobilized, 1914. Commissioned, 4 January 1916; attached to 1/6th Devonshire Regiment. Served -Home, 1914-16; France, January-May 1917 ; India, Mesopotamia, January 1918-March 1919. Final rank, Lieutenant. Mentioned in despatches, February 1919.
