Biography: Son of Matthew Hay; born Rothesay, 25 September 1885. Medicine, 1902-03, 1908. 2nd Lieutenant, Royal Garrison Artillery, 25th Heavy Battery, 19 March 1915. Served-Home, 9 months; Egypt, 3 months; France 3½ years. Final rank, Major. Croix de Guerre. Mentioned, June 1918.
