Biography: Son of James Gray; born Aberdeen, 2 February 1899; Arts, 1916-17, 1919-. Private, Cameron Highlanders, 2 February 1917; commissioned, Royal Navy Air Service, July 1917; resigned commission, owing to ill-health. Gunner, Royal Field Artillery. Served-Home, 6 months; France, Germany, 2 years. Final rank, Acting Sergeant.
