Biography: Son of William Grant; born Cromdale, 17 January 1879. M.A., 1901; B.D. (Hons.), 1904. Private, R.A.M.C., 30 March 1915; Sapper, Royal Engineer, Signal Service; commissioned, Royal Army, Chaplain Department, 4 August 1917. Served-Egypt, September 1915-February 1916; France, Flanders, September 1916-July 1917; Home, 1917-19. Final rank, Army Chaplain, 4th Class (Captain).
