Biography: Son of Thomas P. Gill; born Aberdeen, 3 June 1896. Science, 1914-15; Arts, 1915; Medicine, 1915-16. Gunner, Royal Field Artillery, November 1915; commissioned, 21 January 1917; attached to Reserve Heavy Artillery, Royal Garrison Artillery. Served- Home, 1915-17; France, March 1917-May 1918. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
