Biography: Son of Alexander Garden; born Portsoy, 14 December 1895. M.B. (Hons.), 1920; Alexander Ogston Prize; John Murray Medal and Scholarship. A.U.O.T.C. Commissioned, Gordon Highlanders; attached to the Lancashire Fusiliers. Served - Home, 1 year; France, 1 year. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
