Biography: Son of Alexander T. Garden; born Deskford, Banffshire, 13 April 1880. M.B. 1906; M.D. 1920. L.M. (Dub.), 1914. Adjutant, Ceylon Volunteer Medical Corps, 1915. Commissioned, R.A.M.C, March 1916; attached to the 17th Field Ambulance, transferred as Medical Officer to Heavy Artillery. Served - France, September 1916-August 1917. Invalided. Home service, 1917-19.
