Biography: Son of William S. Fraser ; born Dinnet, Aberdeenshire, 15 November 1890. M.A. (I Eng.), 1914; Seafield English Medal, Minto, Senatus (Eng. Lit.), Prizes. Private, Highland Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C, November 1914. Released for teaching purposes. Commissioned, Indian Army Reserve of Officers, July 1918. Served- Home, 1914-15; India, July 1918-January 1920. Final rank, Lieutenant.
