Biography: Son of John Fowlie; born Aberdeen, 20 July 1891. M.A., 1912. Private, 2/4 Gordon Highlanders, December 1914; O.C.B., 1916; 2nd Lieutenant, 6th Seaforth Highlanders, December 1916. Served-Home, 1914-15, 1916-17, 1917-18; France, April 1915-July 1916, April-October 1917. Final rank, Acting Captain. Military Cross, 1917.
