Biography: Son of John Farquharson; born Glenmuick, Aberdeenshire, 24 August 1897. Medicine, 1919-. Private, 3rd Gordon Highlanders, May 1916. Served with 6th Gordon Highlanders. Home, 1916-17; France, March 1917-August 1918; discharged through wounds, January 1919. Final rank, Corporal.
