Biography: Son of Walter A. Elmslie; born Ekwendeni, Nyassaland, 23 June 1895. Medicine, 1913-16. Private, S.B.R., February 1916; commissioned, R.N.V.R., April 1917. Served-Mediterranean, Grand Fleet, Atlantic Convoy Fleet, 2 years. Final rank, Surgeon-Probationer.
