Biography: Son of William Cruickshank; born King Edward, 10 July 1881. M.A., 1905. Trooper, 3/3rd Scottish Horse, 24 November 1915 ; commissioned, Royal Field Artillery, 13 May 1917. Served-Home, 1915-18; France, March-August 1918. Final rank, Lieutenant.
