Biography

Warden of Friars Minorites (Order of the Friars Minor) Grey Friars Monastery, at Aberdeen. At Stirling and in 1550 at Perth. Employed by Mary Queen of Scots to do special preaching duties after the Reformation, along with the Dominicans John Black and Andrew Abercromby.



From Provenance Catalogue: Brother John Roger was the last warden of the Franciscan Monastery, Aberdeen. In 1559 he resigned the property to the Provost of New Aberdeen. See Wyness, F.J., City by the grey North Sea. Aberdeen, 1972.
