From Provenance Catalogue: The last catholic bishop of Aberdeen was educated at Aberdeen and at Paris. He paid no heed to King's College, though he ratified the capable Galloway's reforms of 1549. Despite the Reformation he was recognised as bishop til his death in 1577. He sat in the Scottish parliament of 1567, but he was not interested in politics and had a very poor reputation as a man and bishop.
