Biography

Born 1561, son of provost of Elgin. Minister at Keith and Spynie and of Elgin 1581. Commendator of priory of Dewlie 1602. Titular Bishop of Moray in 1606 and consecrated in 1611. Died 1623.



From Provenance Catalogue: Douglas graduated from King's College in 1580 and became minister of Elgin in 1581. In 1602 he was appointed to the See of Moray. He died in 1623. See Fasti ecclesiae Scoticanae, Edinburgh, 1926.
