Douglas, Francis
- Biography
- Bap.1719. Apprenticed to a baker in Aberdeen then moved to London. Returned 1743. Started bookselling 1748. With William Murray, set up a printing house c.1750, also published a rival to the Aberdeen Journal, the Aberdeen Intelligencer (1752-7). Moved to a farm early 1760s. Died 1790.
