Biography

Free Church of Scotland minister. Born Aberdeen, 1807. Educated Aberdeen Grammar School, B.A. Marischal Coll 1825. Licensed as preacher 1830. Ordained minister of South Church 1832. Led his congregation into the Free Church 1843, ministered to it from Belmont St 1844, from newly built church in Union St 1869. Published sermons 1859. Awarded D.D. Univ. of Aberdeen 1854. Died Aberdeen 1872.
