The University of Bergen has a unique role in society; they nourish and develop independent knowledge. Currently they have more than 400 courses for exchange students taught in English. University of Bergen hosts more than 1000 exchange students every year. They offer courses both at bachelor’s and master’s level for exchange students.

With a population of 279, 000, it offers an appealing cultural life, and a safe and relaxed urban atmosphere that remains deeply rooted in nature. The University of Bergen is also the most urban university in Norway, with most of its campus concentrated in the heart of the city. The prevalence of students in Bergen gives the city a youthful and modern feel, and creates an atmosphere of enthusiasm and optimism.
