The University of Zurich (UZH) is Switzerland’s largest university, counting over 26'000 students. Founded in the year 1833, UZH is Europe’s first university to be established by a democratic political system; today, it is one of the foremost universities in the German-speaking world. With seven faculties that cover over 100 different subject areas, UZH hosts students from all over the world.

Located in the beautiful city of Zürich, Switzerland, studying at the university is not only a journey of excellent teaching but also one of delving into the history and beauty of the city.

Finances

We have active partnerships in Switzerland, with funding for students being paid by the Swiss Government under the Swiss European Mobility Programme (SEMP). Award amounts vary depending on the duration, though it is approximately £1,300 per semester. This funding is administered by the host institution.
