The ISUWU program offers courses in a broad range of business-related topics and provides an education with an international and intercultural perspective. ISUWU participants can benefit from various cultural and social activities organized by the ISUWU team. These activities give participants the opportunity to get to know life in Vienna, Austria and their fellow students at the same time. The social program is a mix of social, cultural and international events.

University of British Colombia - Vancouver Summer Program

The VSP is a wonderful opportunity for students to study at the beautiful University of British Columbia, Vancouver Campus. By offering globally relevant academic courses and sociocultural activities specific to Vancouver and its surroundings, the VSP encourages students to engage in cross-disciplinary learning and develop their understanding of Canadian culture and values. University of Trier 53rd International Summer School

Expand and improve your German language skills during a summer course at an internationally oriented university in one of the most beautiful regions of the European Union! All programme points are coordinated in terms of content and are included in the total price. The course is not only about language proficiency, but also about strengthening your oral communication skills and immersing into German academic fields, German communication and culture.

KU Eichstätt Ingolstadt - Summer School 2026

The Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) gives students and professionals from all over the world the opportunity to study abroad in the heart of Bavaria. Students can choose between three different courses that include language classes to suit your level of proficiency (A2-C1 levels). Students will gain valuable insights into German and Bavarian cultural traditions, literature and history, and also have the chance to visit iconic landmarks. The summer school organises excursions to destinations such the UNESCO World Heritage Bamberg and Ingolstadt.

• Duration: 19 July - 08 August 2026
• Subject areas: German Language Intensive and Cultural Studies (A2-C1 level), with the choice of focusing on either German and Bavarian Cultural Studies, or Pop Culture in German Literature and Film.
• Tuition Fee: €649.00 includes course materials, cultural excursion, workshops, leisure activities and welcome and farewell reception.

Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz - GO Heimat 2026 

This year's GO (Global Outreach) project includes a week of interdisciplinary academic talks focusing on “Heimat” (home or homeland), climate change and migration at JGU Mainz, and a second week of collaborative project work with schools in Ahrweiler. The project will end with the Scot-t Fest, during which you will have the opportunity to showcase your research. The project's main language will be English, so all students can apply, whether they know German or not. There is an optional two-week German language course at the start of June you can sign up for, in addition to the programme, to improve your language skills.

• Duration: 14 June - 28 June 2026
• Tuition Fee: Approximately €350 tuition fees.
• Accommodation: Fee does not cover accommodation, however JGU will assist successful applicants with finding affordable accommodation.

Osnabrück University Summer School

Osnabrück University is offering three levels of German Language and Culture summer schools this year with various levels and lengths. The A1 level course and A2 level course offer participants with no prior knowledge of the German language the opportunity to acquire the foundations of German and to experience more than 1000 years of German culture and civilization in and around the city of Osnabrück, the City of Peace. By the end of the program, students will have mastered basic language skills in German equivalent to level A1 or A2. The Advanced Intensive German course offers the same, with the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the language for students who already have an A2/B1 level of German. All students will be able to participate in a cultural programme including guided tours, exhibition visits and an excursion to the Northern Sea. 

• Duration: 12 July - 1 August 2026 (A1 and A2 level); 6 July - 5 August 2026 (Advanced Intensive German)

• Level: Undergraduate and graduate students
• Tuition Fee: A1 and A2 level courses are normally €1,400.00 but are available at €1,150.00 with a University of Aberdeen discount. Tuition fee covers course materials, accommodation, culture activities, public transit, and more. There is an optional 3-day trip to Berlin at the end of the A1 and A2 courses for an additional €350. The trip to Berlin is included in the cost of the Intensive course.

Tübingen International & European Studies Summer School 2026

The University of Tübingen is offering two periods of summer schools for 2026, with two different topics per session. Students attending the June session can choose between 'Society, Misinformation, and AI in Europe' and 'Sustainability, Biodiversity, and Ethics in Europe'. The August session will offer courses on 'The EU in Permanent Crisis?' and 'Representing the European Past in Cross-Cultural Communities'. All courses include parallel German language courses for students from A0-A2 level. The summer school includes a social and cultural programme to help students explore the sights of Tübingen and immerse in German culture. 

• Duration: June Session = 01 - 29 June 2026; August Session = 03 - 28 August 2026
• Subject areas: Multi-disciplinary Social Sciences
• Level: Undergraduate
• Tuition Fee: A special discounted programme fee of €1,800 is available for University of Aberdeen students. This includes teaching, study trips, accommodation, cultural activities and public transport.

Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Summer Undergraduate Research Program

Limited spaces may be available

The HKUST Summer UG Research Program is a research placement for students who are passionate in doing research and would love the opportunity to work alongside HKUST faculty on research projects. This hands-on experience will allow them to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios, develop research skills, and contribute to meaningful work in their field of interest. Additionally, it fosters mentorship relationships, helping students navigate their academic paths while enhancing their resumes with valuable research experience. Students will work on a HKUST research project under the mentorship of the research project supervisor, while being immersed in the local Hong Kong culture through orientation and cultural activities throughout the program.

• Duration: 11 June – 17 August 2026 (8 weeks)
• Subject areas: Research projects available for the following schools: Science, Engineering, Business, Humanities and Social Science, and Interdisciplinary Studies. Please check their website for more details.
• Level: Undergraduate students currently in their second year or higher. Students need to have a 3.0 GPA based on a 4.0 scale.
• Tuition Fee: $18,600 HKD tuition fee plus the programme fee listed below.

The HKUST International Summer School welcomes students from partner institutions to study at HKUST. The program aims to create a rewarding exchange experience for students from around the world. It comprises high-quality courses taught by regular HKUST instructors and opportunities to participate in local excursions and cultural immersion activities enable students to deepen their understanding of Hong Kong.

Established in 2015, HKU Summer Institute (HKUSI) provides learning opportunities for secondary, undergraduate, and postgraduate students from around the world. Akita International University Japanese Language Summer Program

Limited tuition fee-waived spaces available

The AIU Summer Program is a six-week, intensive Japanese language and culture study program designed for highly motivated undergraduate students around the world. Participants can take elementary courses taught by experienced Japanese instructors to hone their Japanese language skills in a small class environment. Class levels range from Absolute Beginner to Advanced Beginner learners of Japanese language.

• Duration: 16 June - 24 July 2026 (6 weeks)
• Eligibility: Only suitable for undergraduate students with a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
• Tuition Fees: 390,000 JPY; price includes room and board (3 meals per day), and activities such as Japanese culture workshops and field trips. Limited tuition fee-waived spaces available, priced at 260,000 JPY.
• Accommodation: On campus accommodation included in the programme fee including bedding, room cleaning, and three meals per day.

ITESO, Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara - International Summer Program

Limited tuition fee-waived spaces available

The International Summer Program at ITESO offers course taught in English and Spanish, taught jointly by an ITESO and an international professor. All courses (except Spanish Language) are co-taught with international professors and ITESO professors. Courses are offered in Spanish, English, or both. Students enrolling in courses offered in Spanish must prove a B2 level of Spanish and for those offered in both Spanish and English - a B1 level of Spanish is required. Students will take classes with ITESO students. The taught topics range from Astronomy, to Chemistry, Entrepreneurship, to Photography.

• Duration: 25 May - 19 June 2026
• Level: Undergraduate. Some postgraduate courses are available but only in Spanish.

Yonsei International Summer School

The Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) opened its doors in 1985 and since then, YISS has become an integral part of campus life based on a unique blend of Korean and global cultures. YISS continues to grow and evolve, accommodating the needs of a rapidly changing student body and meeting the challenges of a fast-paced global society. The 2026 program includes courses from the arts, culture, and humanities while also offering cutting-edge classes in management and economics, global issues, history, social sciences, and science and technology. Moreover, a shorter, 4-week option is also provided to accommodate students that can only be away for a limited period of time.

The University of Freiburg Winter University offers an immersive academic programme in the heart of Europe and gain a global edge through language, culture, and career-focused learning.
