University of Southern Maine

Each of the three welcoming and supportive campuses at the University of Southern Maine (USM) are unique, yet all share the extensive resources of the university and its dynamic communities.

USM's campuses are home to state-of-the-art libraries and labs, art galleries and performance venues, student support centers, fitness and athletic facilities, and more. You'll have easy access to the extensive resources of Maine's largest metropolitan region, including the rich arts, cultural, social, health, civic, and economic resources of Greater Portland.

From sporting events to performing arts, social action to international celebrations, there is always something happening at USM and in the surrounding communities. Friday art walks, outdoor concerts, food festivals, fundraising challenges, and speaker series are just a few of the events that engage students, faculty, and alumni throughout the year.

Students can commute easily between the Portland and Gorham campuses via the WiFi-enabled METRO Husky Line. An added bonus: students ride for free on all METRO lines.
