Founded in 1841, Queen's University is one of Canada's leading universities. Based in Kingston, Ontario, Queen's is a member of the prestigious U15 group of research-intensive universities and holds an international reputation for the outstanding academic quality of its faculty and students. Situated on the shore of Lake Ontario, Kingston provides the perfect place to call home, while still being within easy reach of Toronto and Montreal - two of Canada's largest cities.
Queen's University offers a range of facilities on campus including libraries, information technology services (ITS), the Campus Bookstore, Student Health Services, hair salon, various cafeterias, as well as an assortment of places to meet and relax with friends such as pubs and cafés.
Exchange students have access to The Queen's Centre, a modern, multi-purpose complex in the heart of campus which includes an aquatic centre, gymnasiums, a huge cardio and weight area, dance studios, squash and racquetball courts, as well as extensive student-life space. The Queen's Centre integrates academics, sports and recreation, student and community activities. Exchange students receive a Queen's student card and have the same rights and privileges as a full-time Queen's student, including a free city bus pass.
