With 80 sheep to mow the lawn, the University of Lausanne, the second oldest in Switzerland and one of the oldest in the whole world, offers higher teaching and research possibilities focusing on the three main themes of human and social sciences, life sciences and medicine and environmental sciences. Originally founded in 1537 as a French-language Protestant theological academy, the university is now a hub for teaching and learning. Not only does the university offer excellent teaching but also sports and cultural activities including underwater diving.
