The University of Oviedo is a Spanish public institution with a heritage spanning over four centuries. It is an university that champions modern, entrepreneurial, competitive, and high-quality academic training. Fully integrated into the European Higher Education Area, it maintains a steadfast commitment to public service, contributing to the holistic development of its student body and society at large.

As a founding member of the G-9 consortium of Spanish universities, the University of Oviedo offers a contemporary academic portfolio, including 68 undergraduate programmes, more than 30 bilingual pathways and 7 double degrees; 67 master’s programmes and an extensive array of doctoral programmes. Additionally, it provides supplementary academic courses, micro-credentials, proprietary qualifications, national and international mobility programmes, and opportunities for external internships.

The University of Oviedo boasts campuses in the nearby cities of Oviedo, Gijón, and Mieres, as well as university residences in Oviedo (San Gregorio Residence and America Residence) and Mieres (University Residence of Mieres). Moreover, it provides a comprehensive range of sports facilities across its three principal university areas, alongside modernised amenities that rank it among the nation’s most prominent universities.
