Iceland is a Nordic island country located on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge between Europe and North America, with strong cultural and political links to Europe.
The University of Iceland is the leading higher education institution in Iceland and the only one offering undergraduate and graduate programmes in all major academic disciplines. Currently some 15,000 students are enrolled at the University, including 1,500 international students.
The campus is a few footsteps from the city centre connecting the University to the main hub of activity in Reykjavík. The University comprises five schools and 26 faculties offering over 400 different programmes of study.
It is ranked among the best universities in the world by both Shanghai Ranking Consultancy and Times Higher Education University Rankings.
