Edward Corp is emeritus Professor of British History at the University of Toulouse. He is the world’s leading expert on the Stuart Court in exile, and on portraits of the exiled Stuart dynasty. He has written the definitive history of the Stuart Court in exile in France and Italy, 1689-1766, in three volumes, a biography of Sir David Nairne and some eighty articles. He has curated two major exhibitions on the exiled Stuarts, in the Château-Vieux de Saint-Germain and at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.
