My non-academic interests are trekking, nature and wildlife photography, travelling and martial arts.

My current research projects include:

  • Closed-loop performance enhancement of Nanopositioning systems
  • Analysis and control of HVDC MCC/LCC interaction with power generators
  • Vibration damping and isolation for structural and alignment applications
  • Control of drill-string dynamics

Within the School of Engineering, I am a member of the Centre for Applied Dynamics Research and the Aberdeen HVDC Research Centre
