Dr Constantinos Yiallourides gave a speech at the Closing Ceremony of the International Law Association (ILA) Biennial Conference Kyoto, Japan. The general theme of the Conference, held between 29 November- 13 December 2020, was 'Bridging for the Future'. Delegations examined how international law can bridge the past, present and future from the lens of ocean governance, environmental protection, and climate change law, among other fields. Because of the pandemic, all sessions were held virtually via Zoom. Dr Yiallourides was among those to receive the 2020 ILA Scholarship Award, an award offered to selected scholars with proven excellence in international law, following a worldwide competitive process.
