How to Apply:
- Applications for September 2026 entry will open on 20th March with a deadline of May 8th.
- Students may apply to two of the six institutions but may only accept an offer from one. Any student who accepts more than one offer will have all offers withdrawn.
- Aberdeen will offer approximately 130 places on the DPLP in 2026/2027.
- Complete the DPLP UoA Application Form 2026_2027 Please name your application using the format: “DPLP 26-27 Last Name, First Name” and complete it prior to your online application through PGAP.
- Complete an online application form through PGAP and upload your completed DPLP Application Form and LLB Transcript (If you have one). Please upload your DPLP Application Form in place of a personal statement (Please note we do not require a personal statement, CV, work experience, or references from you).

The Vikram Reddy Memorial Scholarship offers £1,000 in total for one year, either as a maintenance award or as a contribution towards tuition fees.

The scholarship is open to applicants holding an offer of admission for a campus-based, full-time Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (DPLC) starting in September 2026. Applicants must be permanently domiciled in the UK and classified by the University as Home or Rest of UK for tuition fee purposes. Application deadline is August 9th 2026.

Less recent graduates of the University of Aberdeen, graduates of other institutions and those who have taken the Law Society of Scotland Exams as a pre-Diploma trainee, should produce evidence of passes in equivalent areas.
Admission will be based on and take consideration of:
- Overall class of undergraduate degree
- Marks obtained in the Law Society's professional subjects at first sitting
- Overall number of subjects not achieved at undergraduate level
- Any other qualifications (undergraduate and/or postgraduate)
- Special circumstances
- Possession of a traineeship
