Medical Photography
University of Aberdeen Media Services provides NHS Grampian with specialist photographic services to help clinicians diagnose and document stages of patient illnesses and clinical conditions. Clinical images can be used as part of a patient's assessment and care to aid treatment planning, monitor progress, and triage.
With appropriate consent, recordings may also be used to support teaching, medical publications, patient information, and research. Our medical photographers are professionally qualified and accredited, registered with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS), and operate under the Code of Professional Conduct of the Institute of Medical Illustrators. Patients are treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and care at all times.
We are trained to operate in a photographic studio, hospital wards/clinics and surgical theatres, using specialist equipment for high-quality photography of the body, extra/intra oral, and dermoscopic imaging.

Media Services provides a graphic design service for print and digital media to NHS Grampian. Our staff have the specialist skills to provide a comprehensive graphics and medical illustration service.

Media Services provides a professional video production service to NHS Grampian with creative staff and access to a wide range of pre-production and post-production facilities.
