Welcome to the University of Aberdeen Multi-Faith Chaplaincy.
The University of Aberdeen warmly welcomes students and staff from many diverse nations, cultures, faiths and beliefs. This diversity enriches our whole community, making Aberdeen a great, globally-minded place to study and work.
The Multi-Faith Chaplaincy is, at its very heart, a place of pastoral care. Chaplains provide not only a welcome but support and advice to members of the community in times of stress, crisis, bereavement or illness. We are also here for those simply wanting to explore questions of a personal or confidential nature.
The Chaplaincy encourages students to grow in body, mind and spirit. We also build community through events and meals and we provide doughnuts at a free social evening every Wednesday from 7pm-9pm at Hillhead Halls of Residence where many first year and international students live.
The Chaplaincy is supported by a wonderful team of enthusiastic Honorary Chaplains and Faith Representatives. The Chaplaincy actively works to develop and organise inter-faith dialogues and community celebrations. There are many different faith and cultural societies in the University who use the Chaplaincy facilities.
We operate a Chaplaincy email list, sending out occasional updates on events occurring throughout the term. To place yourself on the mailing list, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org from your own email account. Leave the subject line blank but include this text: subscribe chaplaincy-centre.
Please search our pages to discover more about what we can offer you and feel free to pop into the Chaplaincy at 25 High Street for a tea, coffee or chat and the Chaplaincy team along with our administrators Gillian and Wendy will offer you a warm welcome.
