Rhythms of the Moon: A Lunar New Year Celebration brings together acclaimed percussionist Lin Chen and guitarist Kristian Sievers, performing as Duo Pertar, for an evening of captivating music.

Combining contemporary percussion with traditional instruments like marimbas, vibraphones, and Chinese drums, they will deliver a powerful and diverse performance. Lin Chen’s vibrant artistry, paired with Kristian’s rhythmic flair, promises an engaging musical journey.

They will be supported by a local act, Madam Tsunami, adding a unique and collaborative dimension to this special Lunar New Year event. Madam Tsunami is Adam Usmani (vocals, guitar, keys) and Coralie Usmani (violin, vocals)They are originally from New Zealand, with Coralie also having Singaporean Chinese heritage. They will be joined by guest improviser-extraordinaire Seth Bennett (double bass) to play a mix of folk-pop-esque and classically framed songs and melodies - all inspired by their time living in Aberdeen.

Tickets: £17.50 / £9.50 concession
