The responsibility of  School Fitness to Practice Committee is to  consider the cases of students on regulated healthcare programmes and recent MBChB graduates of the University, whose behaviour is considered to be not befitting such a student, or whose health gives cause for concern and which, in either case, raises concerns as to their fitness to practise in the relevant field.

The responsibility of Student Progress Committee (Healthcare) is to oversee the progress of individual students and consider representations from students whose studies are being considered for termination as a consequence of failing to satisfy the progress requirements as specified in the relevant degree regulations, and to make decisions on such cases on behalf of the Senate.
